There is only one word that describes the Shahrukh Khan owned Kolkata Knight Riders team: messed. First of all they have won only one of their 3 matches yet, and are at the bottom of the points table as of now with only 2 points. In addition, they have another ache to deal with: a mystery blogger who claims to be a member of the team. The jury is hot on his trail, but here is a man who eluded any discovery for a long time, while writing an IPL blog that is shockingly revealing. His blog is definitely strong evidence to his claim of being a member of the team, or at least someone closely involved with it.
Under the name of ‘fake IPL player’ he reveals information on dressing room happenings, team meetings, discussions, parties and strategies with audacious casualness and insolence. He has unscrupulously assigned offending nicknames to the team members calling Ganguly ‘Lordie’, Gayle ‘Calypso King’ and so on. The blog posts are a taunt at everyone on the team, and what’s worse is that it is getting popular by the day. An official has called it “poison pen writing of the dirtiest variety” and has vowed to expose the scandal within 24 hours.
Finally, the officials claim to have got some lead on this fake player, and promise to reveal the name soon. Hopefully with his being caught, some of the KKR camp’s worries will melt away. So far there are rumours that the mystery blogger is Ranadeb Bose, the Bengal pacer, who was abruptly removed from the Knight Riders’ squad last year is playing for Kings XI this season. But there have been no clarifications on this piece of news.
Meanwhile, Shahrukh Khan, enraged by the incident, is starting a blog of his own, and will dispatch updates on the Knight Riders through it. He is currently in South Africa, and will be writing the first post today. He said, "I actually was meant to write every week for the KKR site. I finally got some time to do it now. It’s nothing much really. The blog will be impressions of mine about how I see life and beliefs.”
